The Kids Return

Paula took the kids for two days to play with Asa for his birthday. It was super fun to be alone at home for this time...but we were really happy when the kids came home.

Durango

I had some business up in Durango, CO so we took the family along and made a trip of it. We tried some Yak and other amazing food at a Himalayan restaurant, got some ice cream and walked down the main street.

The next day we drove out to Mesa Verde. A very fascinating Native American National Park.

On our way home, we stopped for some Easter Pizza!

Easter Activities

We spent all week working on Easter themed school arts and activities. Claire loved matching up the cracked eggs and putting little chicks inside. And we did our go-to craft of making stained-glass windows with clear contact paper.

We had a fun egg hunt in the backyard with cousins too.

Some other Eastery-activities this week included building with jelly-beans, testing the dissolvability of Peeps in different liquids, and making rafts for our Peep pets.

Is it forgivable?

We move back to New Mexico where there are a few food items to take advantage. Green Chile and Breakfast Burritos to name a few. Another item is good tortillas. So it should be understandable that I was upset when Kate brought these home.

INDIANA! I feel like those guys in the old Pace commercials. Hopefully Katie has learned her lesson after all the prayers I have offered for her sake. I can't remember if this is ranked before or after the taking of innocent blood in severity...

Tent Rocks

On Saturday we hiked through Tent Rocks. It is a really cool hike with a narrow canyon, and rock formations that make you feel like you are in the land of point.
