More Olympics

Painting Olympic rings...
 that turned into monsters!

Running around in the 50+ degree weather, and SUN, finally some sun!

Valentines

We played Olympic Bingo. This ended up being a great chance to talk about good sportsmanship and how to behave when you lose! Character Building!

We've talked a lot about flags this week with the Olympics, so we made some of our own. Ruth made the Lithuanian flag and Will just got creative

Caden Dirks

My dear friend, Stephanie Dirks, has 5 adorable and amazing kids. Her oldest, Caden, is 12. He's been in the hospital for 2 weeks (arriving there after being life flighted after finding a bleeding mass on his liver). He has liver cancer, but started chemo this week. He is an amazing boy, just like his mama. A family member started a drive for Caden to help cover medical costs while they are away from home (they have to be in Seattle for 3 months, while all the little kids are still here being passed around between friends and family). This is such a trying time for them and thought I'd pass on the link to help support Caden. If you can, please donate, even if it's a few dollars, click on THIS LINK TO MAKE A PAYMENT. It's easy and secure. Also, if you'd like to read about this amazing family, Stephanie has a blog HERE, you can follow their journey.

I'm so grateful to have made such good friends here already who are so kind. They have helped us to feel at home right away...just like what happened in Twin Falls. We've been so blessed with good friends. I guess I just want to pay it forward however I can. I really can't imagine being in Stephanie's shoes right now, but she has amazing faith.
